Objective:
To develop an Excel-based dashboard for Kent Cricket’s performance analysis team, enabling them to efficiently analyze player performance and match data, despite their primary reliance on other visualization tools.

Background:
Kent Cricket’s lead performance analyst reached out for assistance in building an Excel-based dashboard to enhance their ability to analyze and visualize match data. The team primarily used other analytics and visualization tools but lacked the expertise required to create an effective solution in Excel. They needed a user-friendly and intuitive tool that would allow them to quickly access and interpret performance data for domestic 4-day matches.

Challenge:
The primary challenge was to develop a comprehensive yet easy-to-use Excel dashboard that would:

• Provide both summary and detailed insights into domestic 4-day matches.
• Allow deep dives into player performance, including strengths and weaknesses.
• Enable quick identification of specific issues affecting player or team performance.
• Offer an intuitive interface with filters and search functionalities for easy navigation.
• Automate data processing so that the team could upload raw data and generate insights instantly.

Solution Implemented:
To address these challenges, I designed and built an Excel-based performance analysis dashboard tailored to Kent Cricket’s needs. Key features of the solution included:

• Match Summary & Detailed Views: A dashboard layout that provided both high-level summaries and in-depth analysis of matches.
• Player Performance Insights: Detailed breakdowns of player statistics, highlighting strengths and weaknesses of batters and bowlers.

• Player Profiles & Recent Performance Highlights: Comprehensive player profiles displaying recent match performances and key statistics.
• Interactive Filters & Search Functionality: A user-friendly interface with dynamic filters and search options for quick and efficient data access.
• Automated Data Processing: A seamless data upload system where raw match data could be imported into the spreadsheet, automatically generating insights within seconds.

Outcome:
The implementation of the Excel-based dashboard significantly improved Kent Cricket’s performance analysis capabilities. The team was able to:
